Al Blum

Alan Blum is a Founder and Chairman of the Board of Emmet County Energy since its inception in 2005. He is also a Founder and Chairman of the Board of Red Rock Wind Energy, the 300MW wind farm also under development in Emmet and Dickinson counties. He has been in the insurance and real estate business in Estherville since 1971. He is part owner of the Building Centers of Estherville and Emmetsburg, Iowa. He and his wife Linda currently own 280 acres of land in Emmet and Palo Alto counties and are part owners of 1120 acres in Emmet county and Hamlin county, South Dakota. Mr Blum has served as Chairman of the Estherville Industrial Development Corporation, a non-profit development organization since 1984
