October 2007:

Meteorological Towers collect wind data, System Impact Transmission study complete, Permitting Activities continue.

Wind Analysis

National Wind Assessments, formerly Romuld Wind Consulting of Grand Forks, ND, completed our wind assessment. Four on-site meteorological towers have been erected and are actively measuring wind speed, wind direction, and ambient air temperature in the wind farm project area.

Environmental

Pinnacle Engineering, of Maple Grove, Minnesota, completed a preliminary environmental review of the project and did not find any significant obstacles to developing the project. They also obtained preliminary clearance from the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA). Snyder and Associates, of Council Bluffs, Iowa is actively working on local site permitting and environmental activities with respect to the project development.

Transmission

Excel Engineering completed the preliminary transmission report and is managing the interconnection process with Midwest Independent System Operator (MISO). The project has completed the system impact studies and will shortly move into the facilities studies phase.
